Funeral services for Miss Esther Larson, 66, longtime Hawarden resident who died Saturday at the Hawarden hospital after a long illness, were held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist Church, Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial was at Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral Home.

Miss Larson was born December 29, 1889, at Mound City, S.D. She lived on a farm in the Big Springs vicinity many years before coming to Hawarden. She was a well known dressmaker here, and made her home with her sister, Ellen. Miss Larson was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include the sister and three cousins, Aljie and Harold Larson both of Hawarden and Mrs. William Winterlin of Sioux City.
