Jacob, the 11 months old son of Mr. & Mrs. John Mantel, who resides 11 miles north of Hull, passed away March 1st from flu and pneumonia. Short services were held at the home Saturday and at the Second Christian Reformed church in Sioux Center. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Ireton. The father of the deceased child is a son of Mr. & Mrs. Jake Mantel, who for years farmed in the Ireton vicinity.
