W. C. Leonard, Sr., former Rock Valley attorney, passed away Sunday night at his home in Sioux City after an illness of two months. He was 72 years of age. Mr. Leonard was an early day Sioux county legal practitioner. He had a law office at Rock Valley for about thirty years but retired fifteen years ago. Later he lived for five years in Cedar Rapids and for the past ten years has resided in Sioux City. He was united in marriage to Martina Renshaw at Rock Valley, in 1889. He is survived by the widow and four sons. Mr. Leonard was graduated from the University of Iowa law school in 1884 and was one of a very few to attend the 50th anniversary of the class at Iowa city two years ago.
