Kay McManus,age 40, 5309 N. Highway 75, Sioux City died Tuesday, August 14, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Peace Lutheran Church in Alcester,SD. The Rev. Neal Ahart officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Alcester. The Wass Funeral Home, Alcester, was in charge of arrangements.

The former Kay Wells was born March 29, 1939 at Hudson, SD. She was reared in Alcester and graduated from Stewart Hair Styling School at Sioux Falls. She worked as a beauty operator in Alcester and Hawarden. For the past two years she lived in Sioux City.

Survivors include her mother Mrs.Cora Wells of Alcester; three sons Darwin Heuer, Lyle Heuer and Glenn Heuer, all of Hawarden; one brother, Clark Wells of Alcester; three sisters, Mrs. Vern (Connie) Hagen of Hudson, SD., Mrs. Silas (Judy) Hagler of Anchorage, Alaska and Mrs. Merlyn(Virginia) Solberg of Fort Collins, Colo.
