Graveside services with full military honors for Dan Gregg,83, were conducted at 10:a.m. Thursday,
May 31 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park by Chaplin Don Peterson of Edwards Air Force Base. The Chapel of the Valley was in charge of arrangementsA Palmdale, CA. resident for 25 years, Mr. Gregg had been a commerical chicken rancher prior to his retirement and subsequent employment in maintenance for Lockheed Aircraft, where he worked 10 years until his second retirement. He was a veteran of World War I, serving as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He was born Jan 1, 1896, in Iowa, and died May 28, in Lancaster.
Mr. Gregg is survived by his wife Esther nee French Gregg of the family home, whom he wed Dec 18, 1918 in Iowa; five sons, Dan B. Gregg of Fresno; Gordon Gregg of Sherman Oaks; Paul Gregg of the state of Washington; Neal Gregg of LaHabre; Charles Gregg of Palmdale; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
