Funeral services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ireton at 2 P.M., August 28 for Norman Opdahl, 67, of Ireton, who died August 25, in a Sioux City hospital.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Dwight Rengstorf and burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton.

Mr. Opdahl was born August 25, 1908, in Ireton. He farmed in the Ireton area all his adult life. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Ireton American Legion Post.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. George (Florence) Johnson and Mrs. Gustave (Mildred) Holzmueller, both of Hawarden; Mrs. Lyndon (Anna) Durting of Jackson, Mich., and Mrs. Carl (Clara) Valin of Des Moines; and two brothers, Lorentz of Hawarden and Earling of Ireton.

[Note: Obit says that one of the sisters was married to George Johnson.]
