Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Hawarden at 1:30 P.M., August 30 for Mrs. John Mollhoff, 95, of Hawarden, who died at the Alcester, S.D. rest home August 28.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Herbert Gould and burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Mollhoff, the former Mattie Groves, was born January 5, 1830 at Anamosa. She was married to W. E. White April 2, 1902, at Hawarden. Mr. White died April 13, 1936. She was married to Mr. Mollhoff November 24, 1953, at LeMars. He died September 30, 1970. She had moved to Hawarden when a child. She had resided in the Alcester rest home the past nine years.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Ed (Helen) Sherman of Hawarden, and Mrs. Vernon (Ruth) Penning of LeMars; sons, E. J. White of Vancouver, Wash., and Theodore White of Sedro Wooley, Wash., 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
