Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Hawarden at 1:30 P.M., November 21 for Mrs. John Osterkamp, Sr., 89, of Hawarden, who died at the Hawarden nursing home November 18.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Douglas Oelke and burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton.

Mrs. Osterkamp, the former Henrietta Husman, was born May 12, 1885, in Plymouth County. She was married September 7, 1905.

They lived in the Ireton area until Mr. Osterkamp's death July 18, 1957. She had resided in the Hawarden nursing home since the early 1960's.

Survivors include four sons, William of El Monte, Calif., John Jr. of Hawarden, Richard of Vermillion, S.D., and Edward of Alcester, S.D., seven daughters, Mrs. Lena Oulman and Mrs. Harold (Mary) Harris, both of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Elizabeth Bastendorf of Lincoln, Mo., Mrs. Cletus (Minnie) Pitzenburger of Hopkins, Mo., Mrs. Kathryn Waldrop of Forest City, Mrs. Keith (Grace) Morehead of Hawarden, and Mrs. Robert (Christina) Dwello of Vermillion; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Harris of Van Nuys, Calif., and Mrs. Maggie Dirks of Hawarden,; a brother, Herman Renken of Huntington Park, Calif., 25 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
