Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian Church at Alton at 10:30 A.M., January 30 for Mrs. John Pluim, 72, of Alton, who died at the Orange City Municipal Hospital January 28.

Services were conducted by the Rev. M. Emory Van Gerpen and burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery at Alton.

Mrs. Pluim, the former Tillie Mol was born November 12, 1902, in The Netherlands. She came to the U.S. in 1909 with her parents. She was married to John Pluim on September 14, 1921, in Sioux Center. The couple resided most of their married life at Alton. He died in October, 1973, at Alton.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur of Alton and Orville of Luverne, Minn., two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Alice) Heidibrink of Alton and Mrs. Roger (Jean) Stenstrom of Alcester, S.D., two brothers, Clarence and Lawrence Mol, both of Sioux Center, three sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Kitchenwriter of Sheldon, Mrs. John (Jeanette) Van Holland and Miss Johanna Mol, both of Sioux Center, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
