Funeral services were held at First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley at 1:30 P.M., March 29 for Mrs. Adrian Oldenkamp, 78, of Rock Valley who died at her home March 26.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Paul Bakker and burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Oldenkamp, the former Nellie Cannegieter, was born October 8, 1896, at Hornick. She was married February 19, 1920, at Rock Valley. The couple farmed near Rock Valley until retiring in 1949 and moving into Rock Valley. Mr. Oldenkamp at one time served as mayor of Rock Valley and was also a city councilman for a time.

Survivors include the widower, three sons, John of Canton, S.D., George of Alvord, Harold of Luverne, Minn., two brothers, John of Rock Rapids and George of Rock Valley, three sisters, Mrs. Hessel Roorda and Mrs. John Liestra of Rock Valley, and Mrs. Paul Lems of Beliot, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

NOTE: The obit says Mrs. Marion, but in the article it says Mrs. Adrian.
