Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Ireton at 2 P.M., December 31 for George C. Rose, 66, of Ireton, who died at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars December 27.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Herbert Gould and burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton.

Mr. Rose was born April 30, 1908, near Blair, Nebr. He later moved with his parents to a farm near Walhill, Nebr. He worked for a while in the steel industry and road construction.

Mr. Rose was married Febuary 22, 1941, to Lois Houlton at Ireton. They farmed near Ireton until they retired and moved into Ireton in 1967.

Survivors include the widow; three brothers, Andrew of Dakota City, Lloyd of Seattle, Wash., and Wendell of Richland, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Joe (Francis) Weidum of Monroe, Wash., Mrs. Daryl (Dorothy) Munz of Napa, Calif., and Mrs. David (Helen) Meister of DuBois, Nebr.
