Funeral services were held at the Luedtke Funeral Home in LeMars at 10:30 A.M., January 2 for Lloyd L. Moir, 65, of rural Orange City, who died December 29 at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars after a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Ralph Nelson and burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Moir was born in LeMars, March 3, 1909. He married Mercedes Wiltgen January 6, 1931, in LeMars. They farmed in Sioux County. Mrs. Moir died in October of 1972.

Survivors include two sons, Lt. Col. Lloyd L. Jr. stationed in Japan and John E. of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Schat of Lawton and Mrs. Paul (Susan) Vander Berg of Fredrickson, Va.; 11 grandchildren; a brother; Earl, of LeMars; and a sister, Mrs. Alice Deegan of LeMars.
