Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Granville at 10:30 A.M, August 2 for Edwin Penning, 52, who died suddenly at his home near Granville July 31.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Edward Hoffman and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Penning was born in Granville January 26, 1923, and was a life-long resident of that community. He served in the U.S. army during World War II. He married Nancy Vosburg November 3, 1951.

Survivors include the widow; four sons, Bruce, Theodore, Gene and David, all at home; a brother, Raymond Penning of Lismore, Minn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Veronica) Beckman of Eilmont, Minn., and Miss Leona Penning of Granville.
