Services Held For Mrs. L Eilers, 4O

Mrs. Lawrence Eilers, 40, high school teacher at Terre Haute, Ind., died suddenly February 21 of a heart attack at her school.

Memorial services were held in Decorah on February 24 and at Terre Haute on February 26. Burial was in Terre Haute Memorial Garden.

Lucile Eleanor Thornton was born in Decorah on October 28, 1926. She married Dr. Lawrence Eilers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Eilers of Hawarden on August 7, 1949.

The Eilers family has lived since the summer of 1965 in Terre Haute, where Dr. Eilers is head of the botany department at the University of Indiana.

Mrs. Eilers is survived by the widower; four children, Alan 14, Nancy, 12, Clark, 10 and Linda 6; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thornton and two sisters.
