Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Paullina at 11 A.M., Tuesday, September 17, for Gary Mueller, 23, of Granville, who was killed early September 15 when the car he was driving collided with a double-bottom semi-trailer truck about 4 1/2 miles east of Hartley on U.S. Highway 18.

Burial was in Paullina.

Mueller was west bound on Highway 18 when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck an east bound semi-trailer truck driven by John A. Messmer, 26, of Carrington, N.D. Messmer escaped injury but a passenger in his truck, Tyrone Hultberg, of Garrison, N.D., was treated at a Hartley hospital for minor injuries and released.
