Funeral services were held at Central Reformed Church here at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 24, for Wilbur Meerdink, 56, of Sioux Center, who died September 20 at his residence after a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Wesley Kiel and burial was in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City with Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Meerdink was born May 16, 1918, at Hull. He was married to Harriet Borgman July 31, 1940, at Hull. They had farmed near Sioux Center since then.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Wayne, of Orange City; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Elaine) Feldhacker of Spencer; his mother, Mrs. George Meerdink, of Hull; two brothers, Dr. Peter of Puerto Rico and Dr. Robert of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three sisters, Miss Leona Meerdink of Edina, Minn., and Mrs. Herman (Grace) Boote and Mrs. Clarence (Carol) Boote, both of Hull; and six grandchildren.
