High Mass Held Here Saturday For Mrs. McNally

Requiem high mass with Rev. Fr L. Friedman officiating was held for Mrs. Jennie McNally,75, at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church with burial in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mrs. McNally, a long time resident of this vicinity, died at the Hawarden hospital early Thursday morning where she had been hospitalizied several weeks. The rosary was recited at the home Friday evening and was attended by a host of friends and relatives from out of town.

Mrs. McNally was born Jennie Nanninga, a daughter of Fred and Hannah Nanninga, July 29, 1885 at Hartsburg, ILL., and came to Ireton with her parents as a child, living in the Hawarden and Ireton vicinities the remainder of her life. She married Michael J. McNally and they farmed many years before retiring to Hawarden. He preceded her in death March 23, 1949. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Mrs McNally was a member of St. Mary's Guild and Holy Rosary circle and also the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son James McNally of Rural Ireton; a daughter, Leona, Mrs. John E White of Ida Grove; three grandchildren, Sheila,Colleen and Matthew White, all of Ida Grove; five sisters Mrs. Grace Pereboom of Brooking,SD, Mrs. Arthur Cornish and Mrs. Etta Griffith of Hawarden, Mrs. John Vlotho of Ireton and Mrs. Ernest VanderHamm of Sheldon; a brother Warren Nanninga of Sioux City and many nieces and nephews
