Rites Held for Mrs. Van Wyhe

Funeral services for Mrs. William Van Wyhe, 69, who died Saturday, at a Sioux Center hospital, were held Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran church, Rev. O. F. Pittack officiating.

Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Van Wyhe was born February 7, 1897, near Ireton. The former Christina Schmidhans, she was married. to William Van Wyhe Feb. 9, 1916, at Ireton. They farmed near Ireton until 1941 when they began farming in the Hawarden community. In 1954, they retired to Hawarden. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and the ladies aid of the church.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Bennett of Hawarden and Mrs. Lorenz Janssen of Hudson; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Marienau of Hawarden, Mrs. Alfred Hemmingson and Mrs. Gerrit Van Wyhe, both of Ireton.
