Mrs. Lucile Kelley Schimming Dies

Mrs. Lucile Kelley Schimming, 60, died Sunday morning, March 5, at St. Joseph hospital in Sioux
City after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. William Carol officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of the Barnard-Dow Funeralhome. The rosary was recited Monday evening at the funeral home.

Casket bearers were Hellmuth Schwiesow, Charles Hendricks, William Gant, George Hirschman, Vinton Kane and Robert Koob.

Lucile Schafer was born January 13, 1907 at Akron, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Schafer.
In 1924 she married W. J. Kelley of Hawarden. They resided in Hawarden several years before moving to Chatsworth where they operated a general merchandise store. In 1946 they returned toHawarden to make their home. Mr. Kelley preceded his wife in death in 1955, Mrs. Kelley continued to reside in Hawarden and in 1961 she married Otto J. Schimming, who died in 1963.

She was an active member of St. Mary's Guild and the Royal Neighbors and was employed for a number of years as a practical nurse at the Hawarden hospital.

Survivors include four sons, Jerome Kelley of San Francisco, Calif., Patrick Kelley of Hawarden,
Michael Kelley of Massena, Iowa, and William Kelley of Sonoma, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs.,
Connie O'Connor of Phoenix, Ariz.,, Mrs. Roger Falde of Hawarden and Mrs. Jack Blake of Sonoma, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Frances Easton of Elma, Wash.; 21 grandchildren, Mrs. Tom Brown, Connie Kay, Callie and Cindy O'Connor of Phoenix, Randy and Robin Falde and Sherri, Becky and Shane Kelley of Hawarden, Monica, Marcia, Mitch and Matt Kelley of Massena, and Scott, Jim and Tim Kelley and Tari, Robbie, Billy and Jackie Blake of Sonoma, and three great grandchildren, Tommy, Timmy and Tammy Brown of Phoenix.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral included Mrs. Francis Easton, Mrs. Connie O'Connor, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kelley and Monica, William Kelley, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Blake and Mrs. Tom Brown.
