M. J, McManaman Dies At Age 84

Michael J. McManaman, 84, died Sunday night at a nursing home here where he had been a patient 17 months.

Funeral services were held at 6:30 Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. Lee officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The rosary was recited Tuesday night at the Dow Funeral home.

Mr. McManaman was born September 27, 1882, in Plymouth, county, the son of a pioneer family which had settled in Plymouth county in 1872.

From 1908 to 1920, Mr. McManaman lived in Charles Mix county, S. D. He returned to Plymouth county in 1920 and moved to Hawarden in 1960. He was a member of St. Mary's church and Knights of Columbus Council 4132.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Gale of Akron and Miss Mary McManaman of Hawarden, and a brother, Jack, of Hawarden.
