Walter Day Of Alcester Dies

Walter Day,65,of Alcester died Saturday, Oct 22 at the Veterans hospital in Sioux Falls, SD., following an illness of about a year.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. last Wednesday in the Nathanael Lutheran church at Alcester, Rev. Nels Bergstrom officiating.

Mr.Day was born in Lincoln county January 13,1895. For years he was engaged in farming but recently had retired. He is survived by a widow Amy and four daughters,

Mr.and Mrs. Elmer Broline of Pickstown,SD., and Mrs.Edith Hodoway of Hawarden were among those who attended the services. He was a brother-in-law of Mr.Broline
