Mrs. Nora Nelson Dies at Age 68
Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Nelson, 68, who died Saturday at the hospital here, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral Home.
Rev.Paul Williams of Ottumwa, Iowa, former Pastor of the First Baptist church in Hawarden, officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery.
Hal Shoemaker, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Shoemaker at the organ.
Casket bearers were Wayne Scott, merle Peterson, Leonard, Swanson, Art Davis, Leland Blomgerg and Wendell McAninch.
Mrs. Nelson was born July 27, l894, in Union county, South Dakota. She married Eric Nelson in l9l7. He died August 30, l960.
Survivors include a daughter, mrs. LeVon Myers of Yankton, S.D.; five sons, Iner of Bryant, S.D., Norman of Willow Lake, s.D. and Mancel, Wendell and Donald all of Hawarden; a sister, Mrs. Tillie Linton of Sterling, Ill.; four brothers, Lawrence, Albert and Kermit Erickson, all of Hawarden, and Everett Erickson of Fresno,Calif; 12 grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
