She was born May 1, 1917 in Hospers, IA. She married Gerrit VanBruggen on December 27, 1945 in Hospers, IA.
She was a member of the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include her husband, 2 daughters: Kaleen, Mrs. Harlyn Santema; Faye Van Bruggen both of Sioux Falls, SD; 3 sons: Arthur of Sheldon, Roger of Hospers, IA and Eugene at home.
3 sisters: Gertie, Mrs Harold Westerman, Winnie Poppema, both of Sheldon; Jennie, Mrs John Waanders of Hospers, IA:; 5 brothers: Joe, Sam, William of Sheldon; Frank Klynsma of Sanborn; and 7 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
