PASSES AWAY ON SUNDAY MORNING

Mrs. Jake Hooglang passed away at her home at 12 :30 o'clock Sunday morning (January 28, 1945) following an illness of about three days.

Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church in this city this afternoon. Rev. H. W. Krieger of Ire­ton will be in charge, as the regular pastor is out of town. Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery.

Olga Augusta Ball, daughter of Mrs. Theodore Ball, was born near Ireton on February 20, 1901, and was baptized in the Lutheran faith while an infant. She was married to Jacob Hoogland on Sept. 2, 1923. Af­ter her marriage, she lived on a farm southeast of Hawarden until she came to Hawarden eight years ago.

She was the mother of seven children, one of whom Betty Joan, preceded her in death on January 3, 1933. Besides her husband, she is survived by six children, Mrs. Donald Willer of Akron and Neva, Ralph, Phyllis, Shirley and lone, at home. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Theodore Ball of Hawarden, and three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Roy Swan­son, Mrs. Mose Hendricks and Mrs. Sharp Allen of Hawarden; Otto Ball of Hornick, Iowa; Ewald Ball of Le Mars and John Ball of Primeville, Ore.
