Interment: Sherman Township Cemetery, Maurice, Iowa
Martha Gertrude was the daughter of John and Kate (Vogelaar) Kleinhesselink. She was raised at Orange City. On March 5, 1924, she married Anthony "Tony" Vander Broek at Maurice.
They made their home in Orange City. In 1980, they moved to Sioux Center. Mr. Vander Broek passed away October 12, 1981, at Sioux City.
In 1983, Mrs. Vander Broek became a resident of the Sioux Center Community Nursing Home, where she passed away.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City.
Survivors include her daughter, Margie, and her husband, Elroy Lubbers, of Deep River, Minnesota; son, John "Bud" and his wife, Henrietta of Sioux Center; daughter-in-law, Judy Stegall of Simpsonville, South Carolina; nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald, in 1974; and four brothers, Jake, John, Gerrit, and Bill Kleinhesselink.
