LYNNE TE VELDE
Lynne TeVelde, 54, of Maurice, died on Friday morning, Oct. 8, 2004 at Orange City Health System in OrangeCity. Funeral Services were held on Monday morning, Oct. 11, at Maurice Reformed Church of Maurice, with Rev. Wayne Sneller and Rev. Mark Haverdink officiating. Interment followed in Sherman Township Cemetery of rural Maurice under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home, Sioux Center. Lynne Rae Te Velde, daughter of Leonard and Lorraine Krommendyk, was born in Orange City, on March 23, 1950. She lived most of her life in the Orange City and Maurice area, as well as three years in Edgerton, Minn. and two years in Cherokee. Lynne graduated from Edgerton High School with the Class of 1968 and attended Northwestern College in Orange City for three years. She married Albert Te Velde on Nov. 30, 1985, at Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City. They resided in Maurice. Lynne was employed as a home health aid and worked for several years at the Hope Haven RTC in Orange City. Mrs. Te Velde was a member of Maurice First Reformed Church in Maurice.She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook. Survivors include three daughters, Tara Hulstein of Hull, Abigail Te Velde of Hull and Emily Te Velde of Maurice; two stepchildren, Marcia Te Velde and companion Mark Olsen of Terrace,Minn., and Becky and Scott Arvila of New London, Minn., along with her four grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Aaron and Hannah Hulstein and two step-grandchildren, Samantha and Seth Arvila. Survivors include her parents, Leonard and Lorraine Krommendyk of Orange City; three brothers, Bob and Wendy Krommendyk of North Palm Beach, Fla., Dan and Theresa Krommendyk of Madison, Wis. and Paul Krommendyk of North Palm Beach, Fla., sister Barb and Kevin Kady of Beulah, ND; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her 4 I/2-year-old sister, Rhonda Gayle Krommendyk, husband Albert TeVelde, maternal grandparents Nelson and Ada DeJong and paternal grandparents Henry and Della Krommendyk.
