ARLAN REINKING
Ireton, IA. - Arlan Reinking, 62, of Ireton died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at Hawarden Community Hospital in Hawarden, Iowa.Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton, with the Rev. Warren Prochnow officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Porter Funeral Home in Ireton. Arlan Reinking was born July 29, 1940, in Maurice, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Alice (Van Bruggen) Reinking. He was baptized Dec. 16, 1940 and confirmed April 11, 1954, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He graduated from Maurice High School. He married Sharon Brunk on June 2, 1961, at the St. Paul's Lutheran parsonage in Ireton. They lived in Sioux City for one year before returning to Ireton. He was employed at a packing plant in Sioux City, then as a partsman and salesman at Siouxland Implement in Ireton for 21 years. The past six years, he worked with this brother, Ken, at Reinking Insurance.He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he served as head usher and president of the congregation. He was an avid fisherman and supporter of West Sioux athletics. He is survived by his father, Clifford of Ireton; his wife, Sharon of Ireton; a son and his wife, Rick and Sherri Reinking of Hawarden; a daughter and her husband, Tiffany and Brett Gannon of Cherokee, Iowa; two brothers, Kenneth and his wife, Karen of Ireton, and Roger of Minneapolis;two sisters and their husbands, Linda and Bob Hop of Alexandria, Minn., and Barbara and Jon Oliver of Sioux City; and four grandchildren, Andrew and Jerod Reinking and Katie and Rylee Gannon.He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice; and a son, Randy in 1985.
