TED RIEPMA
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa - Ted Riepma. 92, of Sioux Center died Friday, July 26. 2002, at Sioux Center Community Hospital. Memorial services will be 11 am. Tuesday at Bethel Christian Reformed Church of Sioux Center, with the Rev. Al Mulder officiating. Burial will be prior to the services Tuesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton, Iowa. Visitation will be 2 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.
Ted Riepma, the son of Everett and Minnie (Jaspers) Riepma, was born Feb. 6, 1910, near Hawarden, Iowa, where he grew up and attended country school. On May 24, 1936, he married Jo Sinkey at Ireton Christian Reformed Church. Ted and Jo were blessed with three daughters and farmed for many years in the Maurice and Ireton area. Ted worked at Tri-State Live Stock Auction as a yardman until 1990, working there for more than 25 years. He and Jo moved to their home in Sioux Center in the late 1960s. Ted was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church of Sioux Center and a former member of Ireton Christian Reformed Church. He is survived by his wife, Jo of Sioux Center; three daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Al Mulder of Grand Rapids, Mich., Bev and Bob Attema of Tyndall, S.D., and Marge and Earl Cuperus of Hull; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandsons; 13 great granddaughters; a brother and sister-in-law, Wilson and Til Riepma of Sheldon; a sister, Irene Noteboom of Norwalk, Calif.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
