Burial Services For Miss Williams Held at Hawarden

Funeral services for Miss Leta Williams, 57,of Yankton,who died Wednesday at a Tyndall hospitial,were held Friday at the Congregational church in Yankton with burial in Grace Hill cemetery at Hawarden.

Born October 7,1903 at Beresford,SD., a daughter of George D Williams and Minnie Peck,she was a niece of Clifton and John Peck and Mrs. Ona Millikan of Hawarden. For a time the family lived on a farm west of Hawarden in Union county. They resided at Oakdale, Neb., and Little Rock, Ark., before moving to a farm near Burke, SD., where Mr. Williams died. He was brought to Hawarden for burial.

Starting in 1933, Miss Williams worked 27 years in the AAA office in Burke, prior to which she attended business college at Norfolk, Neb.,She moved to Yankton in 1958. She made her home with her mother and had been ill since November, having had surgery following by pneumonia. Death was attributed to a coronary thrombosis.

Survivors include her mother,Mrs. George Vlydaka of Yankton, two sisters, Mrs. Frank Vlydaka of Tyndall and Mrs. Leo Cwack of Yankton and seven nieces and nephews
