Mrs. Albert Vande Kamp (nee Ether Wiersema) passed away Sunday morning in Sioux Center at the age of 82 years. On Jan. 6, 1927, in Orange City, IA, she was united in marriage to Dick Kraayenbrink, who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1937. On June 5, 1970 in Chandler, MN she was united in marriage to Albert Vande Kamp who now survives. The survivors include three children: Asa Kraayenbrink of Hull, IA;Alydia, Mrs Don Wassenar, of Sheldon, IA; and Henrich Kraayenbrink of Sioux Center, IA; 6 step children: Jeanne, Mrs Dorman Koel of Rock Rapids, IA;Mary, Mrs John Davelaar, of Bigelow, MN;Charles Vande Kamp of Hospers, IA;Gary Vande Kamp of Rock Valley, IA;Lyle Vande Kamp of Sioux Center, IA. She is also survived by a brother, Elmer Wiersema, of Orange City; fifty grandchildren; and forty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, John, and two daughters in law.
Her lifetime experiences included being a housekeeper of Colenbrander Hall at Northwestern College in Orange City for ten and a half years. She was member of the Bethel Christian Ref Church.
