Funeral services were held at Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City at 10:30 A.M., September 8 for Rev. George T. Kots, 73, of Orange City, who died at the Orange City municipal hospital September 5.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Raymond Van Heukelom and burial was in West Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Kots was born at Vriesland, Minn., February 18, 1902. He married Deane Klooster June 27, 1929, at Holland, Mich.

Mr. Kots was a graduate of Hope College (1924) and the Northwestern Academy at Orange City. He served as a teacher in China for three years and upon his return to the U.S. was graduated from Western Theological Seminary at Holland, Mich.

He was ordained into the ministry of the Reformed Church of America at Gray Hawk, Ky., in 1929. He served there 13 years. He held other pastorates in Allendale, Mich., Danforth, Ill., Roseland, Minn., and Buffalo Center, Iowa, and retired to Orange City in 1967.

Survivors include the widow; a son, David of Edina, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. David (Leona) Trowbridge, of Anoka, Minn.; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Henrietta) Kraai of Orange City.
