Funeral services were held at the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon at 10:30 A.M., June 7 for Burt Kroese, 67, of Sheldon, who died June 4 at Richmond, Va., while on vacation.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Nicholas Vogelzang and burial was in East Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Kroese was born June 10, 1907, at Orange City. He married Jean De Jong February 4, 1931, at Sheldon. The couple farmed near Sheldon prior to retiring.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Jolene) Hulst of Downers Grove, Ill.; a son, Stanley, of Sioux Center; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Van Dyke of Sioux Falls and Mrs. John (Nellie) Kreykes of Sheldon, a brother, John, of Cottonwood, Minn.; and six grandchildren.
