Gerrit John De Vos, 65, Hull, died Sunday, January 28, at the Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley after a brief Illness.

Services were at 1:30 pm.. Wednesday at the First Christian Reformed Church, Hull, with the Rev. John Fondse officiating. Burial was in Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sioux Center with the Kraai Funeral Home of Hull in charge.

Mr. De Vos was born April 10, 1913, in Carmel. He married Minnie Dirksen on February 23, 1938, in Ireton. They farmed near Hudson, South Dakota from 1938 to 1970, when they moved to Hull. He worked for the Hull Cooperative Gas and Oil Company from 1970 to 1976.

He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Arlin of Storm Lake; four daughters, Mrs. Vern (Lorrene) Van Roekel of Aurelia, Mrs. Bernard (Francis) Rhods, of Rock Valley, Mrs. Robert (Hendrene) Meendering of Hartley and Ms. Doris Brinkman of Storm Lake, 20 grandchildren, and his father, R.A. De Vos of Hull.
