Curtis Arend, 21, Rock Valley, died Saturday, February 24, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Rock Valley.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior’s Lutheran church in Rock Valley. The Rev. James Frank officiated. Burial was in Ocheyedan Cemetery under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley.

Mr. Arend as born June 27, 1957, in Sioux Center. He was graduated from Rock Valley High School in 1975 and was employed with his father in a men’s clothing store in Rock Valley.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Arend of Rock Valley, a brother, Karl, a sister, Katherine, both of Rock Valley; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Edwin Arend of Ocheyeden, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Ness of Great Bend, Kansas
