Rock Valley - Mrs. Cornelius Blom, 88, of Rock Valley died last Wednesday at a Sioux Falls, SD, hospital after a lengthy illness.

Services were at 1:30 P.M., Saturday at Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley. The Rev. Joel Beeke, pastor of the Netherlands Reformed Church, Sioux Center, officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Blom, the former Marie Van Dorp, was born Jan. 17, 1890, in The Netherlands, and married Mr. Blom on Aug. 12, 1908. She came to America in 1918. Mr. Blom died in Rock Valley in 1954.

Survivors include six sons, Jacob of Jerome, Idaho, Jim, John, Arie and Henry, all of Rock Valley, and Cornie, New Holland, S.D.; three daughters, Mrs. Les (Marie) Schmidt of Lakeside, Mrs. Albert (Jennie) Kramer of Nunda, S.D., and Mrs. Gerrit (Nellie) Vande Hoff, Sioux Center; a sister, Mrs. John Vande Bosch, The Netherlands, 44 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
