Hawarden - John Henry Obert III, 2 day old son of Mr. & Mrs. Michael Obert of Hawarden, died Aug. 11 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Graveside services were at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, Aug. 16 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton. The Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiated. Burial was under direction of the Dow Funeral Home of Hawarden.

The child was born prematurely Aug. 9 in Germany. The child's father had been stationed with the U.S. armed forces in Germany and is to be assigned to duty in the United States.

Survivors in addition to the parents include the grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Bob Lovrien of Hawarden and Mrs. Florence Obert of Las Vegas, Nev., and great grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Bowden of Ireton, Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Barbee of De Kalb, Mo., and Mrs. Emma Lovrien of Sioux Rapids.
