Rock Valley - Mrs. Jake Van Drie, 88, of Rock Valley died last Thursday in a Rock Valley hospital of a long illness.

Services were at 10:30 A.M., Monday in the First Reformed Church. Allen Pruis will officiate. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery under direction of the Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Van Drie, the former Jeanette Zwanenburg, was born July 9, 1890 in Friesland, The Netherlands, and came to Boyden in 1911. She was married to John Harmelink, Sr., Feb. 25, 1914 in Rock Valley where she spent the rest of her life. Mr. Harmelink died May 16, 1951.

She was married to Jake Van Drie August 17, 1955. Mr. Van Drie died Nov. 3, 1977.

Survivors include six sons, Andrew of Fairview, S.D., Harvey of San Diego, Calif., George of Denver, Colo., Veron of Angeles City, The Phillipines, Henry of Colton, S.D., and John of Hawarden; six daughters, Mrs. Mike (Dena) Hooyer of Quincy, Wash., Mrs. William (Minnie) Van Noort of Piedmont, S.D., Mrs. Jack (Josephine) Young of Sumas, Wash., Mrs. Henry (Priscella) Van Dyke of Lynden, Wash.; Mrs. Allen (Jennie) Bonthus of Rock Valley; 92 grandchildren, 142 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
