Mrs.Arie Vander Veen,89,died Aug.28 at the nursing home in Sioux Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday Aug.30 at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden with the Rev.Herbert Gould Officiating. Burial will be at the Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs.Vander Feen was the former Annie Baas, born Oct.10, 1882 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, She came to the United States at the age of 6 and settled near Orange City. She married Frank Vogelzang in Oct. of 1899; he died in 1928. She moved to Hawarden in 1923. Married Mr. Vander Feen in Feb. of 1950. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include: sons, Fred Vogelzang of Hudson and John Vogelzang of Creston, brother, Neil and John Brouwer, both of Orange City; sisters, Mrs. Lige Mars of Ireton; stepsons, Frank and Allen Vander Feen both of Hawarden; step sisters,Mrs. Max (Gertrude) Taylor of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Chester(Marie)Applehof of Yakima, Wash.; 13 Grandchildren; 32 Great-Grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren

Pall bearers were: Frank Vogelzang, John Vander Feen, Wayne Vander Feen, Marvin Vogelzang, Gene Groth and Merlin Busch.
