Hull - Bert Koele, 73, of Hull died Friday Sept. 1, at his home.

Services were at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday at American Reformed Church. The Rev. Herman VanGalen officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery under direction of the Kraai Funeral Home.

Mr. Koele was born April 17, 1905, in Hull. He married Martha Bos Feb. 26, 1932, in Hull. He farmed in the Hull area until his retirement in 1960, when he moved to Hull.

He was a member of American Reformed Church and a former board member of Farmers' Cooperative Creamery, Farmers' Cooperative Elevator and Hope Cemetery Association.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Robert of West Des Moines and Larry of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Delora) Carson of Yankton, S.D.; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Jennie) Heiliger of Sioux Center, Mrs. Oscar (Marie) Douma of Hull and Mrs. Bert (Madeline) Rens of Hull; two brothers, Henry and Clarence, both of Hull.
