Funeral services will be held at First Reformed Church here at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, December 18, for Arie A. Punt, 75, retired Sioux Center farmer, who died at Sioux Center Community Hospital December 15, after a lengthy illness.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jack Boerigter and burial will be in Memory Gardens here under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Punt, the son of Adam and Hendreka Punt, was born near Maurice September 10, 1900. He attended school and grew to manhood in that area. After his marriage February 17, 1932, to Alyda Van De Brake of Sioux Center, the couple farmed in the Maurice area and the Carmel area until retiring and moving into Sioux Center in December of 1959.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Willard Eugene of Orange City and Roger Dale of Holland, Mich.; four daughters, Adelaide Hendrena (Mrs. Arnold De Jong) of Hull, Arlene Lavonne (Mrs. Willard Boscaljon) of Sanborn, Hendrene Frances (Mrs. Kenneth Kats) of Rock Valley and Margaret Beth (Mrs. Ronald Kooistra) of Sioux Center; 17 grandchildren; three brothers, Henry Punt of Sioux Center, the Rev. Martin Punt of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Gerrit Punt of Maurice; three sisters, Fanny (Mrs. Jake Kuhl) of Sioux Center, Johanna (Mrs. Lawrence Vande Berg) of Sioux Center, and Ada (Mrs. John L. Vermeer) of Montevideo, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and one sister--Cornelius, Sam, Frank and Pete, and Mary (Mrs. John Int Velt).
