Funeral services will be held at the First Reformed Church here at 2 P.M., Wednesday, February 12, for Henry John Wissink, 79, life-long resident of the community, who died at Sioux Center Community Hospital about 8 A.M., Sunday, February 9, after a long illness.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jack Boerigter and burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery here under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mr. Wissink, was born in Sioux Center, November 14, 1895, attended local schools and graduated from the local high school in 1913.

He was united in marriage to Willemina Van Putten of Sioux Center February 3, 1921, here.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Marion of Sioux Center and William of Ankeny; three daughters, Gertrude of Sioux Center, Everly (Mrs. Nick Popovich) of Sioux Center and Winona (Mrs. Henry Jansen) of Sioux Center; 21 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; five brothers, Herman of Sioux Center, Martin of Rock Rapids, Alfred of Wyoming, Mich., Lawrence of Sheldon, Harvey of Irving, Texas; one sister, Rena (Mrs. Clarence Den Herder) of Sioux Center.

His parents and two brothers, William and Garrit, preceded him in death.

Mr. Wissink was a member of the local American Legion post. He served in the army with rank of corporal during World War I.
