Funeral services will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel here at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, September 26, for Martin Vanden Brink, 77, of Sioux Center, who died September 22 at the local hospital.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. W. C. Lemaine of Grand Rapids, Mich., and burial will be in Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley.

Mr. Vanden Brink was born in The Netherlands August 14, 1897, and served with that country's army during World War I. He came to the U.S. at the age of 23. He was married to Lizzie Rus January 21, 1926, at Carmel.

Survivors include the widow; a son, John, of Montevideo, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Gerrit (Johanna) Van Voorst of Sioux Center and Mrs. Gilbert (Cornelia) Hoogendoorn of Rock Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Gerrit Van Dam of Lynden, Wash., Mrs. William Viets of Chillwack of British Columbia, and Mrs. Dick Van Dam of Artesia, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
