Funeral services were held at First Reformed Church at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 16, for Arvin Schuiteman, 44, farmer of two miles east of Sioux Center, who died at a Sioux City hospital Saturday, September 13, after a brief illness.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Jack Boerigter and burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery here under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Schuiteman was born near Sioux Center September 28, 1930. He attended the local high school and was in military service during the period 1952-1954. He was married to Wilemina Kaemingk of Sioux Center on June 29, 1955. The couple had since farmed east of Sioux Center. Mr. Schuiteman was a member of the local VFW post.
Survivors include the widow; four sons, Joel, Terry, Alan and Paul, and a daughter, Anita, all at home, his mother, Mrs. John A. Schuiteman of Sioux Center; two brothers, Arthur of Sioux Center and Robert of Sheldon, and three sisters, Mrs. John B. (Delma) Broek of Sioux Center, Mrs. Bernie (Wilmina) Van't Hul of Sheldon, and Mrs. Norman (Norma) De Jong of Luverne, Minn.
