A five year old son of Frank Bochelman, residing three miles south east of town, died last Friday morning of diphtheria.
(Found in the Sioux County Death records Clement Bockelman 5yrs old, no date date. Found in the 1900 Census the family of Frank Bockelmen living in Logan Tsp - Hawarden IA. Frank born Feb 1859 married 1881 born Germany, wife Mary born Jun 1860 born IA, mother of 9 children 6 living, children in 1900 were - Maggie, Mamie, Anton, Elizabeth, Christian, and Albert. In the 1925 Sioux County census Mary's maiden name is listed as Slickelman.)
