DeBoer, Everett "Bud" - 1916-1975

Funeral services were held at First Reformed Church here at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 16, for Everett (Bud) De Boer, 58, well known farmer of two miles south and 1 1/2 miles west of Sioux Center, who died at the local hospital about 6:30 P.M., Sunday of cancer.

He had entered the hospital for the last time the previous Monday.

Mr. De Boer had been receiving treatment off and on at Rochester.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Jack Boerigter and burial was in Memory Gardens cemetery here with Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. De Boer was born in Sioux Center September 26, 1916, and had resided all of his life in this vicinity. He was married to Madge Popma here April 10, 1941. The couple had since farmed southwest of Sioux Center.

Survivors include the widow; two daughtes, Cheryl (Mrs. Thomas Perrin) of Des Moines and Debra (Mrs. Ronald Rodenburgh) of Sioux Center; a brother, Robert, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three sisters, Florence (Mrs. Robert Nykamp) of Boulder, Colo., Harriet (Mrs. Elmer Vermeer) of Sioux Center and Phyllis (Mrs. Harlan Mulder) of Ann Arbor, Mich.; four grandchildren.

Mr. De Boer was preceded in death by a son, Terrance Evan, who was killed in a motorcycle accident June 1, 1957; James, who died March 29, 1961.
