Bertha Viola was the daughter of John J. "Joe’ Reinders and Johanna (Noteboom) Reinders.

On February 16, 1937, she married Arthur Everett Kleinhesselink at Orange City, IA. They farmed just southwest of Alton, IA. For many years, "Vi’ was a dietician at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City. In 1982, they moved into Alton. Since August of 1988, she has been a resident of the Orange City Municipal Hospital and Nursing Home, where she passed away.

She was a member of the Alton Reformed Church, where she had been active in the ladies’ organizations of the church.

Survivors include her husband, "Art"; daughter, Sheryl and her husband, Roger Koster, of Orange City; son, Edward of Alton; three grandchildren, Kara Schriner, Kyle Koster, and Karisa Koster; great-grandson, Nicholas Schriner; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Lois) Visser of Orange City; and Mrs. John (Margaret) Post of Lady Lake, Florida.
