MRS. MARIE WASSENAAR PASSES ON AT ORANGE CITY
Mrs. Marie Wassenaar, 54 born Marie Wibben passed away at the Grossman Hospital June l after a lingering illness with cancer. She is survived by the following children: Jerry of O.C., Clifford of Le Mars, Arloa (Mrs. Albert) Van Otterloo and Wilma of O.C., and 4 grandchildren. One son, Donald was killed in action in l944. The following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Cornie Baker of O.C., Mrs. K. De Vries of Sheldon, Mrs. Albert Houtsma of O.C., Eben Wibben of Mission Hill, S.D., John Dykstra of Ireton. One sister, Mrs. Tena Vander Pol preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the First Ref. Church with Rev.H. Colenbrander officiating. Interment was in the O.C. Cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral service in charge of arrangements.
