Brief death article -
Mrs. Frazier Gilman, residing two miles this side of Eden, (Hudson) died Tuesday evening from congestion of the brain. Mrs. Gilman was a lady of culture and refinement, and was well know in this seciton, having been a resident of Eden for more that 15 years.
(found the 1880 census of Eden, Lincoln, Dakota Territory. Frazier Gilman was 33, born about 1847 in New York, wife Isabella age 45 born about 1835 in Maryland, the Gilman children were J. May Gilman b. 1875 Bronx NY and John born 1878 in Maine. Their were two Pegott children living with them W.Stella 11, and William age 10. On the site ancestry.com (work done by others) Frazier Gilman b. 1847 NY died 1931 in Rowayton, Fariefrield Conn. First wife was Anna Dealey, second wife was Isabelle Pigott or Piqott. The Gilmans are referred to in the Early history of Hudson found on www.hudsonsd.org Also ran across an article in the New York Times of Mar 12, 1901 entitled Claimants to the Gilman Millions here, involved Frazier Gilman)
