Irene H. Peterson, 85 of Jackson NE, died Thursday Jul 17, 2003 at her residence. Services at the Becker Hunt Funeral Home in So. Sioux City,. Grave side services will be 3 p.m. today in Grace Hill Cemetery Hawarden, IA.
Mrs. Peterson was born Aug. 31, 1917, in Akron IA, the daughter of Carl and Ann Specht Schwiesow. She married Leonard Peterson on Sept 8, 1937 in Canton SD. He died Nov 25, 1979, in Sioux City. She lived in Sioux City before moving to Jackson with her daughter.
Survivors include her dauther LaVoone and her husband Elgin Gruis of Jackson; and one grand dauthter. She also was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Helmet, Carl, Heiney, Elmer and Bill Schwiesow; and a sister Mildred Banghart.
