Mrs. Anna Louisa Peterson, long time resident of Hawarden and Big Springs, died last Thursday morning at 4:20 o'clock at the home of her son Oscar Wolt, following an illness of about six day' duration from pneumonia and complications. Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Baptisi church, conducted by Rev. J. T. Parker, the pastor. Interment was made in East Cemtery at Big Springs. Anna Louisa Peterson was born in Kumla, Sweden, Jan 13, 1839, and died Jan 5, 1922, at the age of 82 years 11 months and 22 days. She came to this country in the fall of 1888, and located at Big Springs SD. She then joined the Big Springs Swedish Baptist church. In the spring of 1898 she moved to Hawarden where she resided until her death. She leaves to mourn her death two sons, L. A. Peterson of San Diego CA and Oscar Wolt of Hawarden, also two sisters, Mrs. Sophie Moline of Owlseye Lake Can. and Mrs. Charlotte Kumb of Kumia, Sweden. (Obit goes on to describe her attributes etc.)
